Funeral Arranger

Gregson & Weight are seeking a capable Funeral Arranger to join our company. A minimum of two years experience in a similar role is essential.

The Funeral Arranger is responsible for arranging and conducting funeral services, ensuring that all service commitments are carried out to the highest professional standard, in line with the needs and expectations of the family.

This position requires you to:

  • Plan funeral arrangements, arrange and conduct funeral services
  • Assist families with pre-arrangements
  • Participate in the after hours on-call roster
  • Perform transfers and assist with preparation of deceased as required
  • Perform funeral services with compassion and empathy in accordance with families requirements (i.e. cultural and religious beliefs)
  • Welcome and greet families, friends and visitors attending the service
  • Liaise with work colleagues, families, external stakeholders and any other business relevant or associated with the funeral process in an efficient and professional manner
  • Drive company vehicles, including transfer vans and hearses
