Funeral Assistant
Gregson & Weight are seeking a capable Funeral Assistant to join our company. Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable but not essential.
This position requires you to:
- Provide assistance to funeral arrangers
- Meet & greet families and attendees at funeral services
- Hand out service booklets
- Assist with transfers of the deceased to bring them into our care
- Assist with loading and unloading coffins
- Assist with en-coffining deceased persons
- Participate in the on-call after hours roster
- Clean vehicles and chapels after services when required
- Drive company vehicles, including transfer vans and hearses
Personal Attributes Required·
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High level of attention to detail.
- Professional approach with a confident manner
- Well groomed (essential)
- Must be physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks.
A current unrestricted driver’s licence is essential.
